The John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation announces the granting of eight (8) new scholarships, i.e. five (5) for postgraduate and three (3) for doctoral studies at academic institutions abroad. In addition to the basic criteria for the awarding of the scholarship (indicatively, graduation from a High School of the Prefecture of Ilia, degree grade, income criteria, as described in the call for the submission of applications, dated 5 June 2012), the committee took into consideration the academic status of the university and programme for which the candidate is applying to obtain a scholarship, the alternative sources of funding and the diversity of the scientific fields.

The new scholars for studies abroad for the 2012-2013 academic year are listed below.
