Within the framework of the annual co-funded programme “COLLABORATING FOR HEALTH” the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation and the Non-profit Greek Shipowners’ Social Welfare Company SYN-ENOSIS are settng in motion an emergency grant for the procurement of 20,000 SARS-CoV-2 diagnostic tests, aiming to meet the needs of the Department of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Medical Statistics of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University and the Laboratory of Microbiology of the School of Medicine of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The grant is implemented in collaboration with the Heads of the Laboratories and in coordination with the competent services of the Ministry of Health. The tests will be delivered to the grantees in batches until the end of April 2020.
The “COLLABORATING FOR HEALTH” Programme is a joint initiative of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation and the Non-profit Greek Shipowners’ Social Welfare Company SYN-ENOSIS that is implemented since 2018 and is addressed to public health service providers (Hospitals and Health Centers) as well as to non-profit private legal entities active in the field of Public Health in Greece. The Programme’s goal is to meet urgent needs of the public health sector and to improve the services of healthcare providers in Greece through supply of medical equipment and upgrade of infrastructure.
