The Hellenic Pasteur Institute is being equipped with 4,000 additional DNA isolation tests and a 96-sample isolation system in order to detect and diagnose the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 more effectively.
The donation is being implemented within the framework of the emergency grant of 24,000 SARS-CoV-2 diagnostic tests and other laboratory equipment aiming to meeet the relevant needs of the Department of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Medical Statistics of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University, the Laboratory of Microbiology of the School of Medicine of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Hellenic Pasteur Institute through the "Collaborating for Health" programme, a joint initiative of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation and SYN-ENOSIS.
