24th June 2016 was the day of inauguration of a section of the renovated outpatients clinic of the “Panagiotis and Aglaias Kyriakou” General Children’s Hospital. This is a project carried out within a time frame of three years, with construction funded by the LIDL Hellas company in collaboration with the NGO “Anichti Angalia” (Open Arms), which undertook the co-ordination. The project was based on studies carried out with funding from the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation.
The three-year programme of renovating the hospital’s outpatients clinic includes the construction of a pharmacy along with additional space to accommodate the needs of the hospitals outpatients clinic. The renovated areas have been designed to be functional, as is necessitated by very large number of cases taken in (around 12,000 annually), and at the same time friendly towards its young patients.
