Scientific Projects

From 2008 to 2015, the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation included in its activities the funding of scientific studies of one year's duration through the "Scientific Projects" programme. This initiative had as its main objective the strengthening of research activity in Greece in a wide range of fields of knowledge and the promotion of collaborations between higher educational institutions and research centres in Greece and abroad. In this context, the Foundation announced an annual Public Call, under specific terms and conditions, inviting young researchers to submit their proposals.

The completion of the reasearch projects carried out in 2015, marked the ending of the 8-year “Scientific Projects” programme cycle. The Foundation's support for science and research continues through new funding programmes and initiatives.
