Greek Students' big success at the 54th International Mathematical Olympiad
The 54th International Mathematical Olympiad, which was held in Santa Marta, Colombia, from 18 to 29 July 2013, has been completed.
The International Mathematical Olympiad is an institution of the highest scientific level, in which the greatest mathematical talents from nearly all over the world participate.
Greece participated with a team of six students, all of whom excelled.
Based on their great talent in mathematics, these students continued the long tradition of success of Greek teams in the International Mathematical Olympiad. The Hellenic Mathematical Society prepares and supports the efforts of these students, always on a voluntary basis, as part of its goals, which include improving Mathematical Education and Training in our country.
The students were accompanied by Mr Anargyros Fellouris, Associate Professor at the National Technical University of Athens and Mr Evangelos Zotos, Mathematician.
The work of the Hellenic Mathematical Society is supported by the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation.
