One-year Scientific Projects | 2009

REQUIREMENTS

• Have a clearly defined and usable end result.
• Be submitted by a team of scholars with a lead coordinator. The composition of the study group is open, but proposals from groups of young scholars active in the Greek periphery are encouraged.
• Not be part of a doctoral thesis or a postgraduate thesis and generally not be purely a research project.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• The result of the study may not be used for commercial purposes.
• The study may be co-funded by other bodies.
• Each team is entitled to submit more than one proposal and each individual researcher may participate in more than one team.
• Studies submitted in response to last year's call will be accepted for evaluation, provided that they are resubmitted and have undergone refinements.
• Proposals may be submitted in Greek or English.
• The selected teams will sign a contract with the Foundation.
• The selected teams will present their findings at a special conference organised by the Foundation in 2010.

FUNDING

The funding of each study will be based on a detailed budget to be submitted with the rest of the required documents. The maximum available funding for each study amounts to twelve thousand euros (€12,000), including all kinds of charges such as deductions, taxes, etc.

EVALUATION - SELECTION

Proposals will be evaluated by a special Scientific Committee of the Foundation. The Foundation's Executive Board will consider the above-mentioned evaluation and will select at its discretion up to ten (10) studies to be funded in 2009.

Application deadline
