The John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation announces the public call for research groups of all scientific fields and academic tiers to submit proposals for research projects for the year 2015. This is the 8th consecutive year of the research funding programme titled “Scientific Projects”.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • The proposal should regard original research, demonstrably carried out within the year 2015.
  • The proposal must be submitted by a research group of maximum 5 members including one coordinator.
  • Coordinators and members may belong to only one research team and each team may submit only one proposal.
  • The proposal should not have obtained any other source of funding.

 

FUNDING

The Foundation will grant funding for a maximum of 25 projects, for the amount of €10.000 - 12.000 per project including all types of deductions, taxes, dues etc.

More specifically, for the year 2015 the Foundation has decided to distribute funding between the following two categories: 

Α. ''Scientific Projects 2015 – General Programme'' for teams that include researchers of all ages.

Β. ''Scientific Projects 2015 – Young Researchers'' for teams of researchers under the age of 40 (coordinator and all team members) with a particular emphasis on the participation of post-doctoral researchers.  

 

SUBMISSION

Applications may only be submitted electronically via the On-line Submission System, which will be available on the Foundation’s website according to the following timetable.

 

EVALUATION

Fundamental evaluation criteria are originality of idea, innovation of proposed methodology as well as quality of research team. For the selection, the Foundation takes into consideration the input of field specialists.

Tuesday April 15th, 2014 at 13:00 (Athens time)

Announcement of Results:

Wednesday September 3rd, 2014
