The John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation invites applications for one (1) internship position from candidates who would like to work at the Foundation. The objective is to make available training and enrich knowledge of subjects related to the functioning and the work of a public benefit foundation active in the sectors of education, science, social welfare, social development, the arts and culture.
The internship will be salaried, full-time employment (Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00) for a period of 10 months (October 2016-July 2017) at the offices of the Foundation (Xenias 4, 145 62 Kifissia.) Priority will be given to graduates or alumni from first degree courses at university or polytechnic level at higher educational institutions in Greece or abroad, up to 26 years of age, who wish to upgrade their qualifications with a view to continuing their studies at postgraduate level.
The intern’s duties include, indicatively, supporting the Foundation’s staff in handling of funding applications, annual/regular programs and grants as well as providing support for the Foundation’s administrative secretariat in all of their everyday tasks, such as dealing with e-mail, maintaining electronic files, liaising with grant recipients, updating websites and social networking media, etc.
Candidates must have excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages, both written and spoken, and possess a high level of skill in information technology and social media. Previous voluntary or employee experience in the sector of public benefit activity and civil society initiatives generally will be rated positively.
