The John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation announces that it intends to award up to five (5) new scholarships to postgraduate students and/or doctoral candidates of Greek Higher Education Institutions for the academic year 2011-2012.
1. APPLICATION SUBMISSION REQUIRMENTS
Interested individuals may apply provided that:
they are graduates of high schools of the Prefecture of Ilia, where they have completed all 3 grades
they have an average grade of at least eight (8,00) in their undergraduate degree and, if they are doctoral candidates, postgraduate degree,
have a written offer for a place on a postgraduate programme or doctoral programme
their personal or family annual income, for the last two years, does not exceed the amount of thirty thousand Euros (€ 30.000)
Applications that do not meet the above requirements will not be considered.
Applicants are not required to have been scholarship awardees during their undergraduate studies.
3. SELECTION PROCEDURE
The selection will be made by a Scientific Committee of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation which, in addition to the above requirements, will take into account, the following criteria: origin from the Prefecture of Ilia – as a priority - as well as social criteria.
4. APPLICATION SUBMISSION
Applications, must be submitted electronically along with digitised copies of supporting documents by Wednesday 30 November 2011 at [email protected].
The list of successful candidates will be published on the Foundation's website www.latsis-foundation.org on Friday 16 December 2011.
