Aiming to contribute to a qualitative upgrade of the educational process in the context of the digital transformation, in 2023 the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation supported the “Teaching for the Future” programme, a training programme for secondary school educators which was implemented by The Heritage Management Organization (HERITΛGE) in collaboration with American Councils Greece and with the participation of Greek alumni of the “Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX)” programme who have studied in U.S. schools. The Programme aimed at cultivating contemporary soft skills through the use of digital tools, enabling teachers to apply their newly acquired knowledge to enrich the educational process within the classroom. The Programme was held online, allowing teachers from across Greece to familiarise themselves with new interactive and dynamic learning methodologies, as well as innovative and user-friendly technological tools, with the aim of developing four key skills: teamwork, innovative thinking, communication and public speaking. Additionally, participants received a list of online tutorials (videos and guides) for the tools they learned about, in order to refer to them for further information and share them with their colleagues.
139 educators participated and completed the 4-seminar series held in March 2023.
Educators from regions across Greece attended the seminars, including Kozani, Messinia, Ioannina, Serres, Evros, and Larissa.
